I thought that you guys might want to know about it.  I got an email from one of the gals at leatherman a little while ago telling me about it.

The scissors look good on the PS4 and the rivets will cure the blade wobble that occurs (it has on 2 of mine). Now if they make it in stainless steel to stop it scratching the perfect tool has been made!

Wonder if there will be any surprises like the Supertool 300. Maybe a Blast update. :gimme:

Hmmm... how about pliers like the Supertool 300 and no zytel. I like the Blast but I really like the design of the 300, I would just rather have it in a Blast sized tool.

I was looking at this thread: http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,418.0.html and I realized the Micra mod looks a lot like the Style. Maybe it's not a SAK knockoff, it is a MT.O knockoff.  :D

I'm not sure where that Micra Mod originated from but I saw it on another forum a very long time ago too.  I made one myself.  If I can mod it, trust me it's easy.   :D

Hello,

I think the Keychain Tool changes are really cool.  I carry a Vic Classic because of the scissors.  That might change in May.

I got into Leatherman stuff through the Juice line.  I'm ever hopeful I'm ever hopeful that we will see an update of that line at the SHOT Show in two weeks.

Best -Joe

Looks like they can be dismantled  >:D

I think the file on the ES4 is a good thing but I agree I'd like to see it able to strip lighter gauge wire. My own preference would be for it to start at 22 and end at 28 or even 30. That's not a common requirement though so LM are forgiven :)

I'm assuming the blade on the Style is locking   :-\ ?

I'm thinking not-locking blades on both Styles. :-\

Liner lock blades require a notch, or ledge, at the blade pivot for the locking bar to engage.

So it appears as if the Style has a 2HO slipjoint, and the Style CS has a 1HO slipjoint.

Good point about the notch,  but look closely at the liner right about where the thumbhole begins. There looks to be a leaf of metal sticking up higher than the rest of the liner, so it still looks like it has a liner lock. Not the part of the thumbhole you can see in your zoomed pic, it's below that.

Hmmm, I see what you mean tbf, but I'm not thinking that is a liner lock bar. I think what you have circled is just a window in the handle frame.

Take a look at a Freestyle for comparison:

See how long the liner lock bar has to be? Now look back at the Style pic and see how it is "attached" right below the letter E in LEATHERMAN.

hmmm, indeed you may be right sir. Now I really wanna know. And looking at it, that does look to be a slipjoint spring riding on the pivot. But it doesn't look like it could drop far enough to engage the flat on the other side of the pivot.

Does anyone know the dimensions of either of the Style's?  I know they are "keychain tools" but I'm curious to know how big the blades are and also how big the scissors are.  I'm getting the impression the scissors are pretty decent for a tool so small like the Style.  They appear to be larger than a Vic Classic SD.

I've been trying to guess that too. I'm guessing somewhere between the Squirt and Juice (so 0 2.5" - 3")

I'm 100% sure it's a slippie, the backspring is the same style used in squirt series.
