Oh, sure.. you don't really need another scissors in there, but.. why not?

Next up, Micra with saw.

Very neat though. :tu:  mind if I ask where the second set of scissors came from?
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

Well, it definitely hasn't been seen often before (only other example along those lines is one of the cheaply made "multitools" in some clothing stores), but at least you went Leatherman with the primary form. :)  Does it close properly, the Micra?

I picked up a cheap little plier type Eddie Bauer MT because I wanted to make it into a key carrier like this one but I didn't want to trash my Micra to do it.

It came with perfectly compatible tools for the Micra though, so I set in with messing about.

Yes, it closes like it did from the factory. I just subbed the scissors for the tweezers (which are useless IMO.. and I carry good tweezers on my keys anyway).

But I can put a saw in instead! Or a sharp little poking bit with a rougher file. Or a true Phillips driver. Or another blade. Or....

I do still have to file down the posts from the EB tool that I added. Right now you can see that I had to add washers as they are longer than the Micra hardware. I like them better though, as the EB tool came with it's own little wrench.

Once I have them filed down, I will be able to swap tools in and out easily and it will look much nicer than it does.

I'd go with the scissors just because they look cooler. 8)
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

Embarrassing posting whilst drinking.

Cheers!

But in terms of actual function, the large standard screwdriver would be better.  The scissors would be redundant, and the saw would be too small to be effective.  Really, the smallest saw that I'd feel comfortable using would be the 84mm Victorinox saw, and even that's pushing it; I'd probably stick to 91mm, 94mm, 100mm, 111mm, or SwissTool/SwissTool Spirit-sized saws. :)

Err, in that case, put the standard screwdriver back on and add the saw too. :)

Well, yes.. but with the saw, imagine all the popsicle sticks and small twigs I could halve!

I'd go with the saw, definitely.

It would be good for.... well..... something I'm sure. But mostly, it would look very cool  8)

Alrighty then.. my ability to continue with tinkering.. as well as my ability to take a decent photo.. and perhaps type is quite diminished thanks to drink.

So here is the final version for now, barring suggestions. I added a proper (and thicker as well as longer) Phillips driver and left the saw.

I am sure I will change it again tomorrow maybe if time permits.

Now I need to figure out SAK modding and make this tinkering more of a proper hobby.

Gnite!

It's a cool mod, and I'm not trying to take anything at all away from it- it looks very well done, but I just have to ask.....  what good is a 1 inch saw?
