cleaning up SAK grips ?

cleaning up SAK grips ?

OK ive decided i like collecting Vics and wengers with images on there grips, i polish acrylic watch crystas using polywatch and brasso and wondered if 1 this would polish them up ok, and 2 would remove the image, i guess it would but have to ask  ;) as always guys  thanks for any help   :cheers:

A light polishing with Brasso can take quite a few of the light scratches out of SAK scales pretty easily.  I guess it's dependant on how the image is put on as to whether polishing would remove it.

cheers mate, i did think brasso etc would do it but worried about the image, ill do the opposite side first then try it lightly on the image side,

Brasso will clean up the scales nicely, but I'm concerned about any screen printing, I can easily see it coming off. :-\  For a slightly lighter touch than Brasso I've got a "silver polishing cloth" that works quite nicely to just bring back a bit of the sheen.  It's still lightly abrasive though so I'd still be careful around any logos or whatever. :)
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

ok i tried a little brasso as other than T,cut and plywatch this is all i have here, it worked a treat, seemed to brighten up the images a bit,

cheers mike the other side is better but rubbed harder  :D once this climber retires ill clean it up and put it in its box, not to say it wont get used again  ;) tool's are for using  :tu:
