Spyderco Atlantic Salt
on: January 03, 2010, 06:53:59 PM
It was once said on here by a member that the Spyderco Atlantic Salt wasn't a rescue knife  :o Why ? Its got a rounded tip  :tu:  One handed opening that can be done with thick gloves on  :tu:  A serrated blade that is very agressive and will cut through a wide range of meterials  :tu: A bright coloured handle so it can be spotted if dropped or grabbed easily if needed quickly  :tu: A pocket clip for ease of carry  :tu: Its light , very light for a knife of its size and goes unnoticed in clothing until needed  :tu: Plus it has the added bonus of it dosen't rust .

Heres what Spyderco says about it .....

Quote
Spyderco's Rescue knives are long favored by seafarers and the design has since been embraced by rescue workers, EMT's and ranchers-anyone cutting around flesh in an emergency. Now available in a rustproof version, the Atlantic Salt is a modified Rescue made with state of the art non-rusting H1 steel.

I carried one for years on a rescue boat and now as HM Coastguard Rescue Officer .

They are a serious knife and shouldn't be overlooked !
