Victorinox Explorer 0 Leatherman Micra 1
on: January 04, 2010, 08:05:53 PM
Just had some belated Christmas presents for my children and had top open a battery compartment on a toy which was held shut with a philips screw. My Explorer
was on the coffee table so I started to use it and it wasn't working too well due to the size of the small screw.Got out my Micra which dealt with the screw no
problem. Result-2 happy twins and 1 happy Micra owner! :tu:

It is DARWINISM,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,multitool style :sak:  :multi:
"Some rise by sin, and some by virtue fall;
 Some run from breaks of ice, and answer none:
 And some condemned for a fault alone." -William Shakespeare, King Lear (1608), Act IV, scene 6, line 169

Fair play, the Phillips on the Explorer really is to large for the type of screws you normally find on battery covers.  The one I always go for is the Phillips on the end of the Vic 58mm combo tool (as found on the Rally, Rambler, Mini-Champ etc) that really does seem made to measure.

Good job with the Micra though, being able to deal with all these little tasks with almost no effort is why i think most of us carry a multitool of some kind.  I can well imagine the drama if you hadn't been able to get the toy working. :ahhh ;)
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.
