Daddy has a new flashlight,

(mine has a smooth reflector)

ThruNite designs and manufactures their flashlight in Hong Kong, employing its own designers and utilizing its in-house CNC lathes.
The company strives to produce the most sophisticated LED flashlights possible, while offering outstanding value through competitive pricing.
ThruNite lights are designed to be more useable by those in need of a high quality illumination tool, more practical than the current ones on the market, and more versatile.
The lights are innovatively designed with the consumer's needs foremost in mind.
The company strives to use the best, most up-to-date manufacturing techniques to produce its lights.

The Catapult features an efficient parabolic reflector, and a double-sided multilayer antireflective coated lens.
The Catapult's ergonomic design enables it to be used for extended periods of time, while providing an anti-slip surface and grip design to lessen any chance of dropping the light.

The dark windows in the pictures belong to a former office that will be replaced by appartments in a couple of months, so no one was bothered during the testing of the Catapult.

Besides, a few years back i tested an experimental Swiss made HID flashlight, which looked a baseball bat with a soup bowl glued to the broad end.
That thing put out 5800 Lumen, and people came out of their houses when the beam passed their windows,  :D

Close,  :D

Sadly i took no photo's in those days, and i also haven't been able to find any info or pics of the "torch" online.
The HID light was a completely Swiss made item from the highest quality (Surefire didn't even come close) aimed at mountain search & rescue, from which the integral body/high capacity lithium-ion battery could be uncoupled to be placed in a charger.

At a price of 2200 Euro each i found them a bit to expensive to buy for the firm i was working for then, so eventually after testing ( :D) i sent them back.
The company that sold these apparently had an even more powerful and expensive version that put out 6000 or 6200 Lumen, but i never saw that one in person.
