Victorinox Kits.
I have noticed that most of these were made in the mid to late 90s for the American market under the Swiss Army banner. I thought it might be nice to compare a few of them as I just got two more of them in the mail.
Time to look at them all in one thread just for kicks.
The first kit is the Victorinox Links Kit. This kit comes in a very nice presentation box.
Inside is a beautiful nylon carrying case that is made in the USA with Victorinox and symbol embroidered on it. Rather nice piece of kit this.
Inside this nice carry case, we have quite a bit of stuff.
This kit includes a Victorinox Golfer, a bag full of red Tees, A divot repair tool, a tube of sunscreen, and lip balm, along with a wire brush and the 98-99 USGA rule book.
Here is a closer look of the Victorinox Golfer that is found in the Links Kit.
The next kit is much smaller in size, and is part of a series of similar biking related kits. This one is the Victorinox Bike Tool Kit. It comes in a compact green vinyl and black nylon carry case.
The Kit consists of a Victorinox Spartan with unique black nylon scales with graphics. A small very compact multi tool is also included that breaks apart into several small tools.
Overall, a very nice and compact bike repair kit.
The next kit is the Victorinox Golf Kit. It differs greatly from the Links Kit. This kit comes in a very nice metal presentation box.
Inside you get the Victorinox Golf tool, which is part of their Lifestyle series. A nylon belt sheath, and 3 special graphics gold balls from Callaway.
The next Victorinox kit is called the Trail Kit. It comes in the same packaging as the Links kit and dates about the same time frame.
Once again, the same identical carrying pouch that is zippered and has a plastic clip on the spine.
Organized inside, are the following items. One Victorinox Spartan, a tube of sunscreen, lip balm, a bottle of Sting Eze, some Band-Aids, and a small compass on a ruler for map orienteering.
The last kit is the largest in that it is made for the glove compartment . It is longer than the other kits.
Inside, we find a few car centric tools. Incidentally, the case is made in the USA just like the other 2 with similar Victorinox branding on them.
The glove compartment kit contains a Victorinox Tinker, an incandescent flashlight with Brinkman logo, a tire gauge with USA stamped on it, A Pentech shout pen, a copy of the USA Road Atlas, and a Victorinox branded note pad. Once again, the kit dates to the late 90s.
As a bonus, I also received a Victorinox compass that was a bonus with the trail kit.
This is one beautiful compass with the red trim and all.
