Thanks for the pointer, hawkchucker.

Man, am I glad to see this back in inventory:
http://dealerscorner.coldsteel.com/Products/12CT/

Carried one just like this for several years instead of a folding knife.  (Except, mine came with a clipped leather sheath with a velcro closure.)

Guys, let me tell you, these are great for backpocket EDC.

Mine cut everything that came up without a bobble:  thick rope, cardboard, wood, carpet, you name it.  Batonned through thick braches with no problem.  These are thick and tough, but the hollow grind and belly give good cutting performance.  Handle feels good in the hand.

I was broken up when mine was stolen out of the car.  Always meant to get a replacement, then when I checked CS had stopped making them.

CS's fixed blades are okay, but their folders are over the top in the look department but not so much in function.

The blade pattern makes it a horrible machete, but it'd be great utility-wise!

... whatever utility it is that'd require a 19" blade...

Thanks Def, but that's the double-edged dagger model and it also has the longer blade.  Those have been available from CS for awhile.

The model they had discontinued was the single-edged version with the shorter blade - like the one pictured above.

Thanks for posting this.  I didn't realize they had done some design changes.
I like the new blade grinds on the Voyagers, I'll bet they will make nice slicers.
On a personal note I don't really care for the new design of the ak-47 series.  I
better grab one of the old G-10 unit's before their gone.

Man, I wish I would of caught this thread sooner. I see they are changing the design on some knives I haven't got yet. I need to get them before they disappear. Had I known, I would of held off and got some of them........instead I just recently ordered this:

Cold Steel Rajah II

Well, my Rajah II arrived today.

HOLY S**T..............this thing ain't a knife. It's a folding short-sword!

This thing is no joke man! It's beyond a beast. I got big mits and love large knives but this thing is HUGE!!! It's great. It's a bit dark here now so no pics as of yet but the weather is supposed to clear up tomorrow so hopefully I'll have some eye-candy of this beast ready for posting sometime Saturday.  :tu:

I kep looking a the new Voyager and I am not so sure I like it as much now.  :-\  Part of it's huge appeal was it's simple ergo's and slim design.  These new ones look a bit angular.  :-\

It may give me the  :pok: I need to finally go get myself a Gunsite before the older design are discontinued though.
I'm back!!

Some claim they have stronger locks than the Voyagers.  I'd eager to compare one.

I really like the looks of their American Lawman. Simple design and the Tri-Ad lock is supposed to be solid.  My rule of never buying another knife without first handling it just may be broken!  :gimme:  I don't care for the new handles on some of their knives. They look pretty cheap too.
