Artifact question
on: January 11, 2010, 07:56:38 PM

Can anyone tell me if the Gerber Artifact blade can be replaced by a Swan Morton number 1 blade?
Thanks a lot!

I'm assuming no, and why would you want to?

I'm assuming because the exacto knives all have a rectangular tang, but I have no idea if there's space for that extra protrusion or if it's the right shape. Most likely not.
Got those frog legs.

Here you go. It doesn't look like there's room for the pointy bit:

Oh and a bonus pic that I took by accident whilst lining the last one up!

Because I have a couple of the Swan Morton craft knives and a box of the No1 blades,
this means I will have to get and store another type of blade if I get an Artifact
Maybe I can adjust the Swan blades on the grinder or something  :-\
Thanks for the help and pictures everyone!  :tu:
(still open to suggestions tho)

You get 3 spare blades with the Artifact, so you'd be OK for a little while.

Thanks for that Dave!
I've got one waiting to be ordered in a 'wish list' (I can hear it calling)
I'm thinking that I do want one...
I was hoping to have loads of spare blades here already but that's just me I don't like to run out of stuff (just another of my flaws)  :ahhh
