Nice setup! I like the ferro rod with the compass on top.  :tu:

+1

I was tempted to get one of those myself - not the biggest but the next one down.

So a month and a day after I order my organiser and a week after an unanswered email I ring the company I've ordered the stuff from.

Me: I got some of my stuff, where's the rest?"

Them: "Uh we have the Organiser here but we are waiting on the last item to arrive. Will be here by the end of the month" (so 2 months from when I ordered it)

Me: "Cancel the rest, send me the bag"

Should have added "WHEN WERE YOU PLANNING ON TELLING ME THIS?" but I'm too nice. Anyway, should be here in a few days........

I won't slag them publicly but if any Aussie or Kiwi's want some feedback on a large antipodean online tactical gear supplier then I would be happy to provide it.

Pretty pants actually!  >:(    Sure mistakes happen and stuff gets delayed all the time but lack of communication there is no excuse for.
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

Exactly.  It still amazes me that some businesses don't get the fact that all they really need to do to is talk to their costumers, especially when things aren't quite going to plan.

Quite  >:(

LAPG took nearly 2 months to send stuff I ordered to my friends in the US. They didn't bother mentioning on the site or at checkout that half the stuff was out of stock, and they took about another 3 weeks to send an email explaining there were delays.... crap.

Same problem with my EDC organiser... The shop website said it was in stock, and after I ordered I got an automatic notification that my order would be delayed for about 10 days. After 20 days I asked politely when I would get my organizer. They told me they would get them on monday. Monday I got a mail that my organiser was shipped, but when I checked the shipping number the parcel went out not on monday but on tuesday  I was really pissed off, and I wrote them an email that it was not OK. But they replied that all was best. The organisers were in stock, only the black one not, so the shop info was correct , and everything else was fine, too. I guess that was the first and last time I ordered there. The shop was a recommendation of the German messerforum.net and got lots of good reviews :ahhh

Sorry to hear I'm not alone. Ah well.

I've got a tracking number now anyway so I should be able to start toying with contents in the next few days.

Speaking of Maxpedition, anyone got a triad? I'm very tempted.

Well credit where credit is due, when things are in stock they ship quickly. Its here.

I'm making a conscious effort at the moment to pretty much only put things in it that I already already have loose in my daypack so that's what's shown now in the pic below. Most things should be self explanatory, ask if you have any questions.

I'm sure there will be some changes. I usually have the CRKT M16 in my pocket but I've a SAK (unsure of the exact type sorry-don't hurt me) unused at the moment so that might get subbed in at some point.

Otherwise I really like the bag and as you can see by my post above, it might not be the last Maxped thing I get.

It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Welcome to club Gareth  :salute:

I reckon you're good to go  :tu:

I would also recommend some cable ties and a minimal first aid kit / boo boo kit. Maybe a lighter even. I've got a fauxton light on the key leash :D

What colour did you go for?

Khaki.

Lighter's one I forgot  and I'll add some cable ties when I get to work tomorrow.  I've got a separate FAK right now, but might pack some bits so I don't have to carry both.  Cheers Dan. :tu:

Got one of them.  My MP3 player acts as an emergency USB (though rarely used), and I normally have a SAK+toothpick in my pocket.  A few ibuprofen in a capsule sounds like a good idea though. :tu:

OK here are a couple of pictures (though in the promised bad light).

OK, so we have:
red capsule with some Ibuprofen
Raker tool
Modified LM Kick
Mechanical pencil
Fenix L0D
Stainless Sharpie
Zebra F-301 Ultra
CRKT Edgie
Short Ti spork
Red lighter
light diffuser
a few meters of 3mm braided cord.

Slipped in behind we have:
Wrap of some duct tape
DC4 sharpener
Ruler
Notepad
Packet of plasters (band-aids)
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.
