I saw the ad on TV the other night. I have ticked the boxes on my Driving Licence.

I will complete the online version too; they can take what they want 

  I wonder if I could trade body parts for a new Leatherman?

But yes, I'm a registered donor, although because of my RA medication, nobody wants my blood. Picky or what?

I guess driving drastically increases your chance of being a donor 

I guess I should, as for blood, I am Trypanophobic and quite literally faint if someone tries to stick a needle in me  .

you had some tats recently mate, i had to stop given blood for years because of tattoos , although not had one in about 4 years so i should be ok ,

No Cancer 14 years ago , so I'll never be able to give blood . Shame but I suppose its safer like that .

sorry to here that mate, i lost a very close auntie last year , she is the whole reason i collect stuff and helped me with my knife and rep gun collection back in the 80's , i miss her big time,

It's a nasty disease but curative treatment is getting better all the time. Hope it goes well for him Dunc.

As for being a donor, thanks for the link MD, I carry a card but signing up there is a great idea.

You can donate blood as long as you haven't had a tattoo for at least 6 months, so you're good to go Paul

I don't know what current organ donation guidelines are, but they may be different to blood, so it might be worth signing up anyway chaps

Here we just sign a slip when you get your driver's license.  I've signed mine and let my family know that if anyone can benefit from my parts when I'm done with them, have at them.

That's the way I look at it. I've only got one kidney left, and I can't imagine my liver and lungs would be much use to anyone. (The less said about my brain the better).

But if any of my bits can improve someone else's life after I've stopped using them - they can help themselves. I'll be the last one to give a toss, in fact it I like the idea of bits of me outstaying their welcome

What would happen if somebody receives a liver from a donor obsessed with collecting multi tools? 

Do they also become obsessed with collecting multi tools? 

BTW I'm all signed up now
