You can't buy or sell MTs on the Irish or UK ebay sites since last March.  You shouldn't be able to buy kitchen knives either except table cutlery.
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

They'll get pulled.  Occasionally one slips the net though.  I saw a TTI up a couple of weeks back, someone bought it BIN before ebay could pull the auction :D  (not me like)  but I was pleased for the minor victory :)

:tu: yeah i saw a nice SAK a few weeks back it even sold, glad a few get through, ebay pulled something of mine laste year because i wrote something wrong, it was really stupid , i got my money back though, i know they have lots of rules and are on a knife downer, but as said if you read the news how many people get stabbed with a SAK or a LM etc, i was stabbed in my neck and my hand 15 years ago , it was a normal steak knife nothing flash, long story dont ask lol

I now what you're saying.  Sadly when ebay introduced the new rule they very specifically named SAKs and LMs as being banned :(

And of course they've also implemented blocks to buying such items from other ebay sites as well. No sneaky grabbing SAKs from .com or the like, it won't let you.  In the early days of that being enforced you'd still occasionally be able to get a bid in which is how I managed to grab my XXLT but since then I've failed every time :(

They should ban the sale of cars too, far more people are killed by cars than knives in the UK.

if you actually go to .com and sign in there you can.

Dear Buyer

To prevent the circumvention of the eBay.co.uk and eBay.ie Weapon and Knives policy, it is not possible for you to bid on, or buy this item.

Thank you for your understanding.

Now lets not go pretending that there is any kind of logic to all this ;)

The whole thing was a publicity stunt ::)

You need to create a .com account with a US address. I bought a Squirt there a couple of weeks ago. Paying for what you've bought is a bit of a challenge though - I haven't found a way round that yet (well I have, but it cost $10 a pop and is a bit messy).

I used to come here a lot.

It is an almighty pain in the hoop but I managed to get a few things before they were removed, or at least contact the seller with my info so we could go from there when it was pulled.

Maybe we should all move to the US :D

I agree with you on this one Paul  :tu:

What gets me is that you can buy multitools and knives from other online retailers like Amazon  No chance of a used bargain there though  ::)

Strange for ebay to cut out a considerable portion of their revenue  What impact have they made on knife crime in the UK??

yeah, it is a real pain, it is now pretty much impossible to get a used bargain in the UK.

They did the same thing when they began weird limits on what firearms items can be sold over the US eBay.  Frankly, they make enough money off of people selling nicknacks, useless trinkets, and collectable bubblegum wrappers that cutting out a relatively minor income source like MTs wouldn't hurt much at all.
Half-ass done wholeheartedly!
