Chako....3 versions, not 2.

(Image removed from quote.)

I think that they need the Gerber logo on that one in the middle picture.   Lot of "borrowed" ideas on that one ::) 8)

The style of the cap crimper jaws is Gerberesque for sure (but we were told this is a US military specification). And the replaceable wire cutter inserts were a Gerber first. What else?

Not to mention that Gerber has a full line of Military only tools, meaning they have been serving the military/LEO community for quite some time now.

The way the metal is folded for the knife channel reminds me of a gerber Flik(also mentioned byothers on this site), also the C4 spike, replaceable cutters, and crimper.  I'm not saying Gerber was the first on all of those.   But IMO , The mut looks more like a Gerber than a LM.

I didnt think [the SA80] could ever be sorted

Best evidence , it's still screwed . If they wanted a Bullpup , there are plenty of good ones out there . The Steyr AUG , seems to work well for Anzacs ! The Isrealis have the Tavor - super weapon . Hell even the Franch have a good one .

Or better yey , go with the M4 !

Maybe the Brits want a politically correct assault rifle incapable of killing anyone . Hell even criminals don't want them !

Seems like they just packed all sorts of stuff in there because they could. A few interesting tools, but just cluttered and to much stuff to make me want one.

And as for the videos, if I wanted to watch guys shoot guns, I'll watch one of my Magpul videos. lol But at least it'll get all the mall ninjas to buy one.

I'd like to see that hammer plate make an appearance on their other models. Mine get used as hammers already, so it would be very useful to me.

I've been checking all the sites for SHOT show updates when I stumbled across this gem.

This could be interesting.

Yup.  Easier to sharpen in the field is the logic.

If they would use the blade exchanger a la Surgem it would be tons easier, just use the diamond file.

Probably helps keep the price down on what looks like a very production-intensive tool as well.

The video is kinda cheesy.

The tool isnt so bad..... but it seems, like a lot of LMs stuff, that they try to stylize the tool so much that it loses a lot of qualities that make a tool appealing (to me anyway).

And the price is pretty steep.

I'd like to see one in person, but having been in the Marine Corps, being current LE, and an owner of several AR's, I see some big let-downs with this tool.

I have to say I've grown to like 420HC best. I went through a phase of buying premium steel blades.  While they lasted a bit longer, they were such a pain to sharpen that I could never get as good an edge on them.

I agree.  Absolutely nothing wrong with 420HC.  It does what it's suppost to do..cut. :D  You can almost sharpen it by just looking at it, it's so easy.

Takes a great edge too.
