My watch addiction......lots of pics!
on: January 23, 2010, 09:21:53 PM
Since Christmas I have been on a bit of a watch kick. Over the past month I have bought several pieces that have caught my eye and were had at a bargain, figured I'd post some eyecandy..........

Invicta 6331 Pro Diver GMT:

Alpha "The GMT" White/Pepsi:

Orient LUG15003W Quartz Diver:

Invicta 5654 Chronograph:

These two below have arrived most recently........

Invicta 6415 Chronograph:

Swiss Legend Neptune:

This has become a very addictive hobby, much as my knife collecting had. Not good for my bank account!  :-\

Sounds like you have it bad.

I have been toying with possibly buying a Suunto ABC watch. I don't need one, but I keep looking at them for some unknown reason.

This came about after finding my High School Casio that I had thought was thrown out ages ago. Brought it to a local jeweler to get the battery replaced. She got a big kick with its start date of 1985. She informed me that I was lucky that it could reach 2010, as another person's watch of the same era couldn’t handle anything past 2000. That and the batteries hadn't leaked...a small miracle in itself.

Very nice watches.

Some nice and colorful watches you have there. :tu:

I don't wear watches myself, but I can certainly understand the Invicta 6331 Pro Diver GMT...

Chako,

Yeah.....it's bad. Aside from that Cold Steel I picked up the other week I haven't added any new knives (particularly slipjoints) to my collection in quite a while.....thanks to this new watch addiction!

I'm kicking myself now as I never kept any of my watches from back in my school days. I don't even have my old Timex from my time in the military. Wish I had kept them. It's cool you still have yours and it's still going.

Frog,

All of these were had at bargain prices, if you like any of them they all can be had fairly inexpensively aside from the Neptune.......I got real lucky on that one.

If you like the Alpha GMT with Pepsi bezel go here: http://alphawatchusa.com/_product_88/The_GMT_-_White-Pepsi .......use the coupon code "alphasanta". This will give you an additional 12% of it's $64.99 price tag. But this coupon code is only good until the end of January.

I don't wear watches myself, but I can certainly understand the Invicta 6331 Pro Diver GMT...

AHB,

I have it's Green brother as well..........

......excellent watches for the money.

Argh... I'll have to think about this...
I'm tempted but as a student I really don't have money to spend...

It's an easy addiction to acquire!

These ones are great value though, you're quite right. I'm surprised you haven't got all over the Seikos yet

My Orient LUG15003W Quartz Diver uses a Seiko quartz movement.....does that count?  :D

Seriously though, I have had my eye on a Seiko Orange Monster for a while. But it seems that every time I come across them at reduced pricing I don't have the money for one! Just the other day WorldofWatches.com had them for $139.00, but I had already commited myself to that Invicta 6415 and the SL Neptune.

Ok, just finished taking some quick picks of a few watches. Quick in I didn’t plan much, otherwise, I would have eliminated my ceiling fan in the first photo with proper placement etc.

A Bulova Automatic.

Citizen Blue Angels Skyhawk.

A Titanium Pulsar.

John,

They are somewhat similar to the Italian U-Boats.

Within mine as well. And the deal on this one was even better. Invicta makes numerous versions of this particular style in both auto's as well as quartz....chronograph versions too. I had been eyeing several as well as the higher end Quinotaur version. I had been wanting to try out one as I like big watches but wasn't sure about the huge crown protector. Didn't want to drop alot of coin down on one only to find I didn't like it.

This one for $76.00 was right up my alley. World of Watches has them for this price on their Daily Deal if you are interested.

Orients are excellent value given the top quality innards they have.

My black monster is my favourite watch - you won't regret one getting of those for the right price :tu:

batangueno,

Sweet collection you got there!  :tu:

nuphoria,

I really like the Orients I currently have, good watches for the money. As to the Seiko Monsters........I got my eyes open for one. Every now and again both WorldofWatches.com and Ewatches.com have them on sale in the $139.00 range. Just waiting for the right opportunity to arise.

Thanks, I dont think that picture does it justice.  I had someone ask me why I would wear a $300 watch to work, he was shocked when I said it was $70.

That is best looking Casio I have seen.  Most look plasticy and gimmicky, but that looks like a higher end Seiko or Citizen.  Where did you get it, might have to buy myself an early birthday present.
