Bantam II
on: January 24, 2010, 06:29:58 PM
I got this knife today was thinking its a Bantam II,but SAKWiki  only gives a number for Alox scales,did/do they come out with cellidor scales to?

Rest is not idleness,
and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day,
listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky,
is by no means a waste of time

Hi

New to me, same features as the Alox Bantam II just with Cell, this should be a Eco-line or economy model.
It is also the tang stamp that makes me wonder, well the clip blade ended in 1973. Also the hot stamp emblem was used from my info 1979-1994.
People would say the knife is from before 1973 because of the clip blade. The tang stamp on your economy model is unknow for me
so thank for showing, it can be that the Eco-line was produced under Elinox until 1978,
Please tell me what the stamp on the oposite is!
There are so many factors the timeline for the officier line saying the clip blade ended in 1973 may be later on the Eco-line.

Hi

Thank you that is typical Elinox stamp then like you find on Elinox 93mm Alox f.excample.

Well, very difficult this one for sure, i may be very wrong, your knife is from just the beginning of the hot stamp emblem,
sorry i have no name.

Hi again

By the way if you run your finger nail over the emblem, do you feel the groove melted into the plastic??

:salute: Great little knife but this style could also be labeled a Pocket Pal from the 84mm series, however as we all should know by now Victorinox only produced model "NUMBERS" not names so it could really be anything.

Hi

Anyway i get very interested in knives like this that is difficult to date, super little Victorinox knife that you should take good care off
it is rare.
Also about the names that was mentioned is that eco models usually just have a number still names has sometimes jumped along someplace
