You decide for me.
on: January 27, 2010, 01:56:07 AM
OK the wife saw a video of what happens when a bow explodes. So Since mine is now 3 yo. and has well over 50,000 shots she said I can buy another. I have shot both and like them the same. Each has something the other doesnt, but it is really just not an issue. Soooooooo You guys decide which one I get and I will be getting it come Tax time.

By the way I lean tward Bowtech ::)

I'm afraid I'm of absolutely no use in this poll!  :-[

When did bows start looking like futuristic technospace DaVinci gadgets, and not like a bit of wood and some string?!

Have you heard of a small Canadian company called APA Innovations?  :pok: :pok:

Their bows are out of this world. In fact, I bought one after trying it. It beat all other bows for handling and feel. In fact, I received a robbin hood on my third time sighting it in.

The reason I mention this is because they have some unique features for the hunter. They have a built in tool set. A broadhead sharpener, arrowhead wrench, and a knock tool. All built into the riser. On top of that, they are super easy to carry in the field due to the built in carrying handle. Plus, and this is big plus, the riser comes with a built in hook so that you can hang your bow in a tree. I love this feature on the 3D outdoor range.

Here are photos of mine in Red Flame Target colour.

and the website.

Now onto the main question. I am not a big fan of unicams. Dual cams, although finicky in the field, if tuned right, tend to give you more speed and better arrow force vectoring...which translates in my books to better accuracy down range. If given a choice, I would go for the Admiral.

I know you know a lot about archery, but if not, and even if you do, have you read this article yet? It is a good one.

The Mathews are the Caddie of the bow world. Unfortunatly everyone is now shooting them so getting stuff from the company is hard. So basically I really like sponsership stuff and money oi I am going to Bowtech. They own Diamond and these are two bows that come out of the factory with the best matching size and shooting setup as my beloved Mathews. However As stated above. No hat and stickers no shoot. Plus Bowtech will send me a bunch of shirts and pay for my entrance fees to the shoots.

I kinda hate to do it. Mathews has been very good to me since 2000, but I really need the stuff they send out to keep shooting. I would hate to pay for the amount of arrows lost or destroyed shooting the amount of rounds we do a year. Plus Mathews discontinued the discount of the bows to us so....

I also do shoot stick bows and love the ones I have. One is a 1966 Bear Grizzly. still soots like a dream. However If ya want to shoot 2 inch groups at 40 yards all day. Ya really need to go to a space shooter.
