on: January 30, 2010, 05:18:58 AM
Ok, today I lost my Champion Plus (and OT NASA is not going to the moon >:(), and franticly looked for her.  She was weged in the couch and I had to use the fire poker putting deep scratchs in her. :-[

Then shortly after X mas I lose my new Trooper and don't find her till the couch spits it out a week later >:(

Before that the Waitress ( ??? why dose vic go with the male from of a word ),sliped out of my pocket and it took me a few days to find :-\.

so how do you keep your tools in their place

I just a made a Lanyard so I hope that helps

A trained rescue dog or cat to go in to the couch to get it may not be a bad idea either.

I like your way of thinking donvito.  Maybe one of these ideas will help, if not it still makes for interesting reading.

I like the rescue dog idea Tsquare :tu: I can see Yud flicking a huge Rescue Dog sign on his roof when his MTs get lost.

Another method that's coming to my mind is putting up an add for a female live in companion (unless he already has a girlfriend???) that likes tools and who will help him catalog, clean and oil his whole collection, but he better watch out she might run off with the goods :ahhh and that would bring us back to square one

A huge magnet and demagnetizer? :D

If you take apart a few old hard disk drives, they have uber powerful magnets in there, would probably actually work.

just don't get your fingers between them if they snap together, it could quite possibly break your finger.

TBH I don't normally have an issue with tools sitting loose in my front pockets.  I'm sure you've thought of these already but belt hangers, pouches and fobs should all stop any issues you have.

It may be the trousers (pants) you wear, in my experience jeans are often tight enough to stop things falling out and combats have deep enough pockets, it's only ever suit trousers that give me any issues and I don't often wear them these days.
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

Attach the thing to yourself man!  ::)

Lanyards, clips, pouches.... whatever works! You might lose something elsewhere and not get it back so I'd be changing your carry method quick smart  ;)

Where can one get these magnets from without me breaking my puter to bits?   :tu:

check ebay, boot sales, etc, loads of cheap second hand hard disk drives everywhere, most old ones are near worthless.

luckly it only happens when in recliner mode or at night when I am not in my pants
