I guess mine is a bit of a collectible now, since it's still called the Ta-Bar Tool!  :D

Also, it's nice to see they added a belt loop.

Also, I think Travis is getting some in that should be posted in the Multitool.org store on EDCSource... :D

Nah, your's is worth less now. Best send it to me for disposal  :pok: :D

Probably old news but I'm guessing the Ta-Bar name came from its designer's name; Raleigh Tabor  :tu:  Obviously its similiarity to a certain knife caused it to be renamed  ::)

That is exactly the story I got from the folks at CRKT.

Grant teased you with it, but I can confirm that I received a couple of Spare Tools today.  They will be available from The Multitool.org Store in a few days.

At first glance they are just about what I expected:  A neck knife/multitool combo.  It may seem a little gimmicky, but the Spare Tool looks very substantial, useful and larger than I thought.  I may have to abscond with one for a field test.  All I need now is to find that beaded chain I have around here somewhere. . .

Hi Raleigh- good to have you here!

I own the site and wrote the review after managing to abscond with one after SHOT last year.  If you are at this year's show, I'd love to sit down with you for a face to face about the Spare Tool and New Tool X!  :D

I'm pleased with it, and I am certain we'll be producing a version with our logo on it soon.
