VG10 Damascus? How come? Is it etched?

I blade swapped my ZDP and Damascus blades ages ago to create my favourite knife .
My Titanium scaled ZDP , but I do get the FRN Damascus out and take it to work occasionally .

Here are my spyderco knives. I have one more blue stretch Damascus in the mail now. I think I'm about done, or at least I hope lol.

This is the one that's coming in the mail.

Nope, GIN1. I have another UKPK in a different steel, but embarrassingly cannot remember the exact steel.

They have been available in s30v, Gin1 and BD1.
CTS BD1 is almost an American Gin 1.

That'd be awesome.  I don't think I've seen this color  but its gorgeous.  I think it really lends itself to being carried in may situations i.e. formal, casual, work.

:dd: Really quite a beauty.  I seriously love the color.  The scales are very different than the bi directional ones which also make it look awesome.  I see why there are those that really dig that wire clip too, simple and functional.  Best of all not just one but 2 which is never a bad thing.

Thanks for the pics.

As you may or may not know I am VERY particular to certain pocket clips and a pocket clip can make or break a knife for me as well as pocket clip position. The first Spydie I ever bought with a wire clip I was skeptical before it arrived. I was worried there would not be enough surface area to "grab" onto the pants material and keep the knife in place. I was also worried it would be flimsy. Boy was I wrong. The wire clip is one of my favorites from Spyderco. It has strong retention and even due to the lack of surface area it holds really well. The deep carry is awesome and I tend to favor deep carry for some knives. Its deep carry feature is designed very well unlike Kershaws. On the Kershaw's (Cryo for example) the screws protrude into the path of your pants pocket when clipping it on your pocket causing it to catch. When inserting it will either catch and not fully seat which could possibly cause a lost knife. When removing it will catch on the lip of the pocket which is annoying and causes wear on the pocket. Sorry to go on so long.  :twak: basically the Spydie wire clip rocks!  :D

It's great information that one would not know just looking at the clips of both knives.
