Below is a picture of the only Spyderco I own ...............

I'm pretty sure that's another co pilot with a serrated edge ?

It definitely looks that way. I have always called it a Ladybug even though it isn't . I don't mix with any knife enthusiasts so I have never been caught out.

It is.

And co-pilots are stupidly tough to get a hold of in good condition these days.

Yeah it definitely has brass liners. I had it given to me in January of 1994 and I am not sure that it was a new knife when I got it.

Just arrived

Spyderco Matriarch

On the way

Spyderco Persian with red G10 slabs

I sure am glad to see Spyderco adding some color the their knives, sure beats the same old black G10 slabs.

Why do I carry a 45 ?
Because they don't make a 46 !

Then it is out of one of the earlist batches of CoPilots. There is more info here http://www.spydiewiki.com/index.php?title=C09_CoPilot. The Copilot is a favorite of mine. I dont usually like little knives but I really like the CoPilot.

Yeh tell me about it!, it took me ages to find one. Great little knife.

eodtech,  yup two very nice knives.  I saw a matri through the glass the other day albeit serrated.
I'll bet that persian will be a very nice little slicer.

Previous owner tried to make it tip up and somehow managed to snap the screw inside the handle, so I got it for pretty cheap.  :D

Removed the hump on back of handle so it feels much better in hand.

Thanks, it's quite easy to do with a belt sander (use the roller part not flat part), I would imagine a dremel can do it too.

The wife has the camera right now but I have a spyderco that i dont think anyone has posted a pic of.  I try to post one later but I have the Kris bladed Spyderco.  It is kind of special and usually resides in the safe.

Endura 2 Stainless Steel PE, just back from the "spa" at Spyderco headquarters, with a nice polish, new clip and a nice shaving sharp edge.

And three days after I get it back, I try and open it and one of the washers tears and comes right out of the pivot.  GAH!  Right back to Spyderco.

Breaking stuff left and right these days...

Seriously, I'm not even sure how this one happened.  Also, the washers - really, really thin.

I wonder if it could be because the PO never lubed the knife and simply wore down the washers, and the thinnest part finally broke.

The captain is on my list of spydercos to get, maybe as a birthday or Christmas present to myself lol it sure is a sweet blade, somehow reminds me of an Emerson commander. Maybe it's  the recurve or something.

I always liked the captain.  Never got around to buying one though.  Next Spyderco I buy will be the civillian.  I wanted one for a long time, the blade is just plain fearsome, and lets face it, the blade wasnt made for buttering toast. >:D
