+1!  :like:

that pic reminds me of how, when it began production, most buyers were scared of the little steel between the Spydie hole and the spine,  :ahhh but in all these years I've never ever seen a Manix broken there.

I've seen them tipless, split in two, with broken CBBL locks, cracked scales, but never fractured or broken there  :salute:

Thanks P! :salute:

What are the orange handled blades Peacent?

those are pruning knives for cutting plants,
in carbon steel,

the first hawkbills I used, rusted and chipped through the years

before falling in love with Spyderco's hawks   :salute:
not going back!

Thanks! They look like they'd be really useful for cutting rope and opening boxes too :like:

As much as I've fallen in love with the modern, OHO Spydies, there's always a place for the traditionals that you all folks grew up with.
Some good modern/trad pairing here  :salute:

Nice one Peacent! What is the official name of that model, I know it's part of the salt series, but other than that, I'm still not too familiar with the different models

OK, I have one of these things, so you might think I would know better.....

I thought it was an Endura Salt, but I guess it's actually a Pacific Salt. Seems like an Endura to me though.  ;)

I thought it was an Endura Salt, but I guess it's actually a Pacific Salt. Seems like an Endura to me though.  ;)

it is essentially an "Endura Salt", same handle material, handle shape, lock, blade shape (albeit less pointy like all Salts) and most characteristics are shared...

but they wanted to differentiate them from the big sellers and Spyderco's flagship FRN knives, :salute:

so the "Endura Salt" became the "Pacific Salt"
the "Delica Salt" became the "Salt 1"
and the "Dragonfly Salt" was called..."Dragonfly Salt"  :D

yes doesn't make much sense from a logical standpoint
