Wicked sharp! I've never seen blades as lightweight, and as sharp as these Pacific and Atlantic salts. Great blades!!! :like: :like:

Spyderco Tropen........there is trouble looming.....

Nick Shabazz spotted the problem with the blade at the compression lock, and you could see the problem when Eric was handling the knife in the BladeHQ video

Ezdog...

I believe the pronunciation is more like:

"Gaaahden." As in "aaah!" Like just after taking a sip of a delicious, refreshing beverage on a hot summer day.

Either way, that sure is a gorgeous house.

I dont like a knife that can cut you while its in your pocket but the flipper mechanism sweeping through will clear your finger out the way in normal operations.
The blade being exposed in normal carry is bad.

Din't think of that, still, can't do that compression lock trick that everybody loves doing.

That's the big selling point of the compression lock......"keeps your fingers out of the blade path".......now for a design that brings the blade to you!

Eric seems like a super cool dude. Good guy to have running the company (obviously). Good energy and knows what he's talking about (obviously).

Side note. Spyderco makes some hideous looking knives at times huh?! Don't throw anything at me, I own two of their knives  :pommel: just sayin, it's undeniable

Cool looking house pic ez :o What were you doing on it?
Well.......
I start by flying down to South Florida from STL,work there a few days at 3 different places and then load the clients new Escalade and drive it to Bar Harbor essentially.
Then I work there for a Week fixing everything broken in the house and pick them up at the Airport and stay another Week thinking of things to install or add and then drive back to STL from Maine!

This trip my main task was to extend the house Network to a detached Gaaahden wirelessly about 1/4 mile away so they can stream music and use the internet from the Gaaahden.

Then at the end of the Summer I go back up there and get the car and drive it back to South Florida and fly back home.

It sounds sort of silly as I type it all out but it pays the bills for sure.

Someone has to do it! :ahhh

or Don't Faaahget to try the Chowdaaah at the Haaahba!

And yes it is an amazing property and setting for sure.

I'm Staahting to get the hang of the New England Accent myself. Being from the country, I stick out like a sore thumb every time I open my mouth in Boston, but I at least now know where to find Staahbucks  :D

Look at all that flattery, and you never used the word "nice" once!

Sorry, I agree with you.....just call "better words for nice" a pet peeve of mine.   That family and company make my favourite knives, full stop.

Not the Tropen obviously  :ahhh

There was a new Blade Show interview with him last night where he addresses the issue, apparently the tested and are satisfied it's safe and the exposed edge doesn't get dulled
