 :bnghd:  :poh:

I knda wanted to be posting pics of my Pacific by now.....but life

Finally got a right-handed holster (and shoulder mount thingamabob) for my hand cannon, and 1x72 and 2x72 220 grit grinder belts (12 pack)......and suddenly there's no money left

Both were ordered a while ago, had to buy them, but the belts are consumables, and that puts the price of the knife, a lifetime tool, in perspective.

At least that's what I'm telling myself

 Well no buyers remorse here.  I'm again left wondering why you'd want a knife with a "stronger" construction and all that extra weight.
Just can't wait for it to be nice & rounded and smoothed out like my Salt 1.

Something else......when I went to pay for it the price on the system was considerably more than the sticker price ( 1739-00 vs 2599-00) ........their mistake and I paid the sticker price.

This makes me feel better about the price I was quoted for the PE, which quite frankly I wouldn't pay.

On that subject....

I know Spyderco had a general price increase, very difficult to judge these matter because of where I'm forced to buy, but definitely in the case of the Salts they seem a bit expensive......?

I'm sure you can spot the avocado......only thing special about is it's the small, buttery type with the purple skin.

Then dried (beef) sausage, also very common here, this is just a better recipe and best ingredients.

And then........bacon biltong!  :ahhh   It's new'ish here, only started buying it since I trust the source.  I'm sure other people have preserved pork like that, but for a biltong-obsessed population......if you eat pork, you love this stuff!

the Salts cut apples very well, IMO, because their saber grind helps in wedging the portion of the apple out and away from the core once the depth of the cut reaches the grind change line

the teeth in the serrations bite in and the apple starts to be cut, and after just enough cutting the piece snaps off of the main body  :tu:

Yes......until those serrations bite into your thumb

So far it seems the Pacific (and the Atlantic I assume) is better because the bevel is higher than the Salt 1
