finally got one, first Seki City, non chinese/byrd purchase, although I did a trade for a delica last month, so now have 2 Japanese models, next stop USA if I can save up, but damn they are pricey. this one looks nicer in person, hard to get color to show up indoors at night.

I know, that hurt me , it was $55 before tax with a small amazon coupon, I think thats' the most I've shelled out for a non multitool blade, my more expensive kershaws I got with good coupons/discounts, but that was like right place right time deals, Spydercos are tough to find discounts since they raised prices. Today they had a Mora Garberg for $54 but I couldnt pull the trigger, my credit card is in pain cause I got this too: Dragon + Persistence = no Garberg

This one had very thick stinky grease in the pivot from the factory, took me a long time to get it out so I could lube it properly

I'm really liking it, scary sharp, opening nicely after some break in time, I just gotta move the clip...thought tenacious would be a little heavy for pocket so I went with this one, all the China made ones I've gotten have been really good

No problem with quality  :tu:
Comparing it to my Enlan's you can sense the better quality. Problem is I paid 3x as much for it as the average Enlan, the 8CR is good enough, but you get the same on most Enlans.

Price aside,  for that blade length the whole knife is too fat, even keeping it in the family I would go for a Delica or Meadowlark instead.

Must add I have to carry in-pocket at work so that influences how I feel.

When my German blood takes control I view it as utterly inefficient

But, the truth of the matter is my Sypderco Persistence is the unpleasant reminder of my earlier folly.......it pokes it's fat finger in my eye every time it comes out of hiding  :pok:

I moved the clip for tip up carry(there is red locktite on screws if anyone is interested, but it wasn't an issue) its much better in pocket with the spine facing away from your hand, not sure why they sell them tip down with sharp blade spine.
