Here's my two Spydies, both recent arrivals. How did I live without a Spyderco?

UKPK drop point and Delica FFG. I love both of these knives! The Delica is just flat(ground)-out awesome, and the UKPK is a great knife at work. My folder gets a ton of use at the store ( I HATE box cutters!), and I was looking for something that wouldn't scare the smurf out of customers when I use it. The UKPK is perfect for that, quick out and back into the pocket, not too big. The Delica was bought to be my non-work EDC, but I'm sure it will see time at the store as well. The question is which Spyderco will join the family next?

Well, that sure didn't take long  ::). Which Spyderco is joining the collection next?

Sage 1 carbon fiber. I saw it in a store today, played with it a bit, and saw that the price was actually pretty reasonable. It came home with me, and proved it was sharp as hell by immediately biting me! Nice knife, despite its' thirst for blood.......

I've been wanting the Sage 1 for quite sometime now. I have the same Delica as you, and I absolutely love it. Are the two comparable?

In terms of size and weight, yes they are. The Sage feels a bit more comfortable in the pocket, and the clip allows for more discreet carry. The Delica's grip is, well, grippier. At work that's an advantage, plus the fact that I don't want to have the Sage around the perils of the paint store at the moment. They're both great knives, and I love them both. But for daily mucking about, I'm going with the Sage. At work, Delica all the way for now. For looks, it's no contest really, as you can see. the Sage is one sexy knife.......

I hadn't owned a Spyderco until about a month ago. How did I ever get through life without one? I have three now, and I'm sure that number will grow by the end of the year. If just for the lefty-friendly aspect of these, I should have been all over them. I have learned the error of my ways.

I agree, the Delica is an awesome EDC blade. Initially, I thought the clip on the Sage was going to be pretty flimsy, I would have like the same clip that the Delica and Endura's share on there.

I Really Like The Wire Clip And It Holds Up Way Better Than You Would Expect. At First I Really Didn't Like The Look Of It, But Over Time And After I Owned One With A Wire Clip I Absolutely Loved It. Deep Pocket Carry, Less Noticeable, And Over All Just Less Bulky, But Don't Get Me Wrong I Love Just About Any Clip.

The Delica And Sage Would Be Comparable In Size And Weight And The Cutting Performance Of Both Great, But There Is A Difference In Steel, Handle Material, And Of Course Looks.

The wire clip is great. Nice deep carry, and sturdier than it looks. Just another plus for the Sage.

I discovered Spydercos this last spring, when I got a Tenacious... as soon as I got it, I was immediately hooked.  I kept telling myself; "this knife is awesome, how could they possibly make something better than this?"

Well, then I got a gray FRN Endura 4 FFG...

Then an orange Delica...

Then a Dragonfly 2...

Then a Stretch 2...

Then I got a Byrd Wings...

Now, I still want a Sage 1; and a Resilience; and a Rock Lobster; and a Jester; and a Dyad Jr.; and a...

It's a sickness!!!   :ahhh

I Have A Huge Lot Of Stuff For Trade Lol.

Yeah Pretty Much.

No doubt.

The Spydie I'm really jonesing for the most now isn't the Sage 1, it's the Rock Lobster... I love the design and the details of the knife, like the fully recessed scales and the way the blade completely nests in the handle when closed.  The sheepsfoot style too is exactly the kind of shape I like for a general purpose utility knife.

I just wish it didn't cost so bloody much...  :(

I Need To Trade This Stuff And Get It Out Of Here!!! Lol. So If Any Of You Decide You Have Some Things To Trade, Let Me Know I Have A Bunch Of Stuff Ready To Go.

Spyderco Mule Team 12 made with Cruwear steel. This is the re-release. The first had tempering problems and were recalled. The MT12 that were retempered and re-release have a line under the CRUWEAR has shown in the second photo. If the line is not there dont but it. There are some on the bay trying to sell first released MT12`s so buyer beware. I added a pic of the first release MT12 CRUWEAR marking to show the difference.
