Been trying to break in a new Byrd Robin2 for a week, but it is still rough, possibly the blade tang or lockbar that rides it were not sanded or polished fully making deployment herky jerky and not smooth. Have tried oiling and cleaning over and over, disassembly did not work with loctite on scale screws(not pivot) ate 2 of my T6 bits, I'm down to 1  :-\ .

Got this as a user to keep my Dragonfly nice, but it doesnt even compare in the QC dept. Dragonfly opens like hot knife through vanilla ice cream, but Robin feels like it's going through Rocky Road. It has gotten slightly smoother with hundreds of openings but not sure if it's just par for the course with this model(my other byrds are smooth) I will say it's probably the sharpest knife I own and cuts great and I will most likely keep it as I'm not sure I will have better luck on an exchange

I ordered some Wiha T6 bits, the big box stores chinese bits are just not doing it, they twist and the tip snaps off. I'm determined to get this thing open and see what the issue is, need to find a cheapish soldering iron to assist, anybody have a recomendation?

1. Our favourite knife company has a Youtube channel now

2. Buyers remorse about the Para3 is increasing with every Para3 LW review I watch

3. I want a Benchmade Bugout

I'd love to argue otherwise but once all the inexpensive knives purchased are totaled up..........
I recently bought my partner a Chaparral and while not terribly pricey its a lot nicer than her ambitious.  I've handles the Para and its a very nice knife.  Had I not been a cheap fool I'd have bought the Slysz Bowie before the secondary market made these silly priced.

The nail's head is hurting where you hit it

I'd trade all my Enlans for 1 good Spyderco, about 70% of my fixed blades for a very high-end Spyderco....  :salute:
