Charge TTi To My Collection with Pics
on: February 12, 2010, 05:36:26 PM
Fresh from the US and out of Zack's house comes my latest addition, the Leatherman Charge TTi. Just in time for my birthday :ahhh :ahhh :multi:

It only arrived today but first impressions are definitely good  :tu: While on paper it is a slightly upgraded Wave in different clothes but in reality it is much much more. Everything about this is quality; I can see why this is the EDC multitool of choice for many people :D

I am no expert in steel or blade quality but there is a noticeable difference from the 420HC steel of the Wave to the 154CM on the Skeletool CX to this amazing S30V steel :D The cutting hook on the serrated blade has many uses  :salute:

The charge is awsome. I have four myself for now. I think the ti handles look better than the waves. The tool isnt much lighter though. Also the gut hook is to small IMO. I like having it in case I forget my primary deer tool though. I have the camo one but I would like to see one come out in blase orange. :D :D :D  :pok: Im sure you will enjoy yours :tu:

I was just feeling my S30V steel blade.  There is no comparision to my other Leathermans.  Very impressive and worth the extra money, IMO.

Great score cerbera! :tu: While the TTi may not be for everyone, it suits me just fine. There's no doubt it is the flagship of Leatherman's current line. :salute:

What sheath did you get with yours? And a full set of bits too I presume?

Indeedy - very useful set up  :tu:
I have a Ti, so essentially the same thing minus the guthook, and it's my go to tool most of the time.

Thanks Bob  :salute:

As Zack said I got the nice leather sheath and the standard starter bit set. :D I got that same bit set with my Wave too.

So I should invest in the full kit then? I had thought of the tool adapter thingy but I guess the Leatherman bits are easier carried.

Know anyone with a spare kit then? :D

While the Charge's sheath doesn't appear to that different from the Wave's apart the metal badge it just looks and feels better. Think it is the stitching.  :tu:

Be patient with them. ::) These sort of critical differences can be challenging for non-multitool folk to understand. :P  :D
