So Who Is Registered With EDCF?

Anyone here also post at EDCForums?

I am but so far have about six posts to my name

I find it difficult to be posting regularly in more than one forum. EDCF is full of EDC info, ideas etc. but I just prefer the feel of this place

Multitool.org has the benefits of large forum but the feel of a small closeknit community

It's like that slogan, Big enough to cope, small enough to care'

One thing I don't like over there is... They had a freebie giveaway similiar to the ones done here. However, I think you had to have posted a certain number of posts or been a member so long

I totally see why it is done but it's not the Multitool.org way

Just wondered how many more members here are also there? The two sites do share similiar interests

I'm registered but I rarely post. I've found the forum presence has significantly different preferences than I do so there isn't any real connection for me.

I enjoy looking at all the EDC pics and keyrings pics for ideas

There are also some very talented people that have made their own bag and pouches, again very interesting

I suppose one main reason I haven't connected is that EDCF is very US oriented. Nearly all EDC pics feature a gun or two or three which amuses me. This site is a US site [I guess] and probably has more US members than UK [again I guess] but I don't feel any orientation to any particular location. Although the strong UK presence is hard to ignore, even if you wanted to

see the other thread lol.

I guess the location flags help identify fellow countrymen and women

Sorry Ben, certainly didn't mean to imply that. I actually enjoy the site and it has a wealth of information, I just prefer here to post, share pics and enjoy the banter

I´m there, but hardly ever visit it. It´s just not as friendly as MT.O or Messerforum where I post every day.

If you didn't know that EDCF meant edcforums and is a forum that covers all things EDC you could think that EDCF was some kind of secret brotherhood organisation going from my title

EDCF is great for what they are- and what they do, they do well, just like any other forum, Multitool.org included. Each forum has it's own specialties and atmosphere and that tends to attract similar type folks and promote it's own feel. I really have nothing bad to say about any other forums, but they just didn't sync with me- well, except for Knifeforums.com which is where I learned just about all I needed to know about running a forum. The staff and members at KF are (for the most part anyway, there will always be some you like more than others!) great, and it will always be one of my favorites. In fact, I am one of the longest standing members there, and I've been there for well over a decade now. How much more? I'm not tellin...

I've never been a member of EDCF, but that has nothing to do with them- I simply don't join forums unless I plan to participate, and I've pretty much got my hands full with Multitool.org, SOSAKOnline, EDCSource, SAKWiki, SOSAK at KF, managing my three unit building, my day job, my night job, looking after my wife and two large dogs (three this week- we're dog sitting!) and still trying to have time left in the day to do the other things I enjoy!

Besides, there is so much spillover from one forum to another that I don't have to worry about visiting all of them- sooner or later any news they get first will spill over here, and vice versa!

I registered, don't think I have ever posted. I am registered at bladeforums, but with the basic membership (free). I troll their trade sections, because they have a better selection of knives. If you're not part of their clique over there you just don't get noticed. Here I was welcomed on my first post and felt like I could be part of the banter. And for that I will gladly pay more for a membership.

I started out on EDCForums, and then later found SOSAK and MT.O; while I still post over there, as well as having a couple friends, I find MT.O being friendlier; granted, I like the vast diversity of information on EDCF, so it balances out.

I've been a member there for a while, haven't posted there in a while though. Spend most of my on-line time over at KF or here......and some on a slew of other forums I am member of.

I'm a member of so many boards I can't keep track of them all now. Some I haven't posted on in years and some ain't even around anymore.

I am not over there I did not like forums till I got on SOSAK, then I have been spending most of my time over here because the people I like over there (Neil, Spork, Def and others) are over here and we talk about thing that are way OT over there.

I got the boot from there three years ago and it was the best move I ever made.

I've been over there..lurked a while educating myself on edc items like maxpedition, atwoods, and some other cool gadgets but when it comes to the multitool forum there -sometimes days will pass between posts.

They have some good buys and trades in BST but you know how it is dealing with the unknown factor with strangers.
