Well I love tattoos personally and I don't get then because I hate my body - quite the opposite. I think you decorate things you like

point taken.
also, you change things you don't like.
when you paint, you don't like the white canvas.
when you sculpt, you don't like the the plain marble.
you change things to make them better.
In this case, covering and changing SO much, the very first impression I had was of dislinking (does this word exist?).
I like tattoos, I understand body alterations. I don't understand so MUCH changing of a body, if you like it.

Another thing to consider but being in charge of hiring I can honestly say that I wouldn't and
couldn't hire someone who looks like this even though she may be the nicest, and qualified
individual for the job.
Depending on what you want to do with your life and who really knows for sure at that age
really, you've limited yourself job ops in my opinion.

to me, a tattoo does not matter.
my parents had a bar, and they hired tattoed people with no problem.
Sadly, rasta or afro hair is a no-no in that job, so they had to send back a few good barmen and barmaiden.

if only that would be the case everywhere im with you; i dont care for the looks if you can deliver thats all that matters but for the majority is all about first impressions and looks

I agree with you guys totally that it shouldn't matter but unfortunately it does in alot of
jobs appearance is important not that we need raving visual beauty but she's limited herself
because of her appearance, sadly.

I agree with you , my body has been adjusted by beer and chocolate and I think tattoos would be a waste on me

As far as work goes - it depends on your industry a bit. (Mechanic - go for your life, Banker - not so much, That said, I know a loan consultant with a full tribal sleeve, he just wears a long shirt on the job)

but also apparently geography. All over Australia we have laws saying you can't not hire someone because you don't like them, but this is circumvented a lot with company policies, dress codes etc.

In some areas (ie. Everywhere except Sydney Metro) they embrace the "hire based on suitability for the job" ethos a bit stronger, as I see a lot more body-mod (I hate that term) folk in supermarkets, malls, and other "dealing with the public" positions. -  to say they won't ask you to take out a few facial piercings if you look like the victim of a shrapnel mine, but you might at least get past the first interview.

The rules might change a bit as you move into the ranks into the suit wearing boys clubs of lawyers, doctors etc.
