Garage Sale Thread, Mk.3
on: February 21, 2010, 07:30:08 PM
Simply because my items have changed and the other thread has become too long, here are pictures of all the things I have available:

I have available:

Victorinox:

SwissLite - $10
Hoffritz Super Tinker - $30 $28
Bijou SD - $12
Vintage Packaging Rally - $12
One Combo pack* - OH Trekker + Classic SD - $25, can obtain more if needed
Four Combo pack - Tinker and Victorinox/Inova 2xAAA flashlight - $30 each
LNNB Hiker - $12
circa 1902-1942 Camper contemporary, saw is completely unused - $215
NNB Safari Trooper, Red, with slip case and very nice felt holder - $40
Hoffritz tang-and-scale stamped Pocket Pal, reverse scale scuffed some - $25
Hoffritz tang stamped Climber, pre-1973 - $40
NNB Shuttle Master Craftsman, with slip case to protect scales - $80
Case Alox Ambassador - New in box - $35
Old cross red alox Pioneer with brass liners - New in box - $45

Wenger:
One PocketGrip - $40

Kershaw:
NNB Craftsman-rebrand Kershaw A100 - $60

Schrade:
Old Timer - 2 blades - $20

Leatherman:
NIB PST with leather sheath, 0498/049_ date codes - $50
excellent condition Mini Tool with sheath, no box - $30

Gerber:
Ridge - $12

Other:
vintage German multiknife with leather case - $48

As usual, Paypal fees (if applicable) apply, as does shipping.  For items bound in plastic backing, I will remove the items for shipping when asked, such as the OHT and Classic SD combo packs, however I will not for either the Rally or the Old Timer, as the packaging is part of what makes them more unique.

This is also posted on EDCForums.  Oh, and furthermore, unless listed above, the other items in the pictures are not for sale.

Thanks, Sazabi.

I was just going to say, if anyone needs a cheap but surprisingly good EDC, that Gerber Ridge is a heckuva knife, especially in the Teflon-coated version being sold here.  Similar to the CRKT K.I.S.S. but with a substantially better lockup.

Sorry about that, I knew I'd forgotten something:  it's $50, but I may be able to go slightly lower if need be.  :tu:

Pocket Grip is SPF. :)

I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

I would, but it just doesn't seem nearly as... I dunno... friendly or personal, for whatever reason. :/  Plus, I only have a handful (~40ish) posts over there, to begin with. :/

Ok, just so everyone can be on the same track, the remaining items - with slight discount on any of the items that can be reduced - are:

Victorinox:

SwissLite - $9
Hoffritz Super Tinker - $27
Bijou SD - $10
Vintage Packaging Rally - $11
Four Combo pack - Tinker and Victorinox/Inova 2xAAA flashlight - $30 each
LNNB Hiker - $11
circa 1902-1942 Camper contemporary, saw is completely unused - $215
Hoffritz tang-and-scale stamped Pocket Pal, reverse scale scuffed some - $25
Hoffritz tang stamped Climber, pre-1973 - $40
Case Alox Ambassador - New in box - $35

Kershaw:
NNB Craftsman-rebrand Kershaw A100 - $60

Schrade:
Old Timer - 2 blades - $20

Leatherman:
NIB PST with leather sheath, 0498/049_ date codes - $48

Gerber:
Ridge - $12

Other:
vintage German multiknife with leather case - $48

Also, a brief rundown of terms, since I was asked:

NIB - New in Box, items are new in their original boxes
NNB - New no box, items are new, however slight scale damage (light scratches and the like) may be present due to previous owners not storing them well, otherwise items are new (if requiring slight clean up on a spot or two where a sticker had been; nothing more than a wet cleaning cloth needed)
User - knives are in rough condition, and probably require cleaning and sharpening; with cosmetic damage on scales from previous owners and have obviously been used

If anyone is interested in any of my items, let me know; I will also consider trades.

Case Alox Ambassador - New in box - $35
Fieldmaster - $15 - liner at Phillips is bent slightly, and a backspring is slightly... scalloped?  It's hard to explain; the backspring is fine functionally, in and of itself, but it's just something my eye noticed; even with those slight tiffs, this SAK has full usability

Wenger:
89 SI - $17 - it's in rough shape, but aside from a thorough cleaning, a blade touch-up, and a scale cleaning, I think it can be revived - do note that this knife is in rough shape, hence the low price

Schrade:
US Old Timer - 2 blades - $20
US Old Timer 340T 3-blade Stockman with wood scales - $40 - blades are dull and may have very minor nicks that would be removed upon sharpening; upon closer inspection, one of the bolsters is stamped 0031; I purchased it for myself, but can't get along with it.  If anyone has any information pertaining as to why the bolster is stamped, and what I actually have (limited edition is my guess?), do feel free to tell me because I'm curious.  Price is the same as what was paid for it, so I'd prefer not to decrease price. :/

Spyderco:
NIB SS SE Rookie - $100 - I can't find any comparable prices, but I think this is a good price for one?  Although NIB, the box has seen some better days, though isn't a write off, by far.

Boker Plus:
NIB Subcom F - $25

Gerber:
Ridge - $12

Other:
vintage German multiknife with leather case - $48
NNB CaseLogic 4.3 inch GPS Case, never used, but is missing the cleaning cloth they come with - $12

It's a Copper Cadet, and is NNB, however it was purchased with a person in mind, and I'm holding it for her, so it was spf when I purchased it, so to speak. :)

Can you describle how bad the blade is on the Wenger?  I missed out on an excellent condition soldat from Felinevet for the same price...

The blade is dull and needs sharpening, and has scratches on either side of the body, and has one nick about half an inch from the tip; the profile of the blade, itself, is fine, as is the tip.  The scales are what are so bad, in addition to the knife and can opener opening being gritty - it just needs a nice hot water bath and oiling, I think?  The bottle opener has some marks on it, but is otherwise fine, as is the can opener and awl.  The scales, though, are scratched and have been struck on either side just below the lanyard hole, and also have one or two small gouges.  This, by far, is not an excellent condition SI, if that's what you're wanting, but can be cleaned up some to be a good user. :)
