To cook small animals...

http://www.flashaholics.co.uk/olight/olight-sr90-intimidator.html

What a beast!  A bit pricey but that's a good leap forward for LEDs in lumen count.  Look at the fins on the thing - it must give off heat like an absolute animal.

Wonder what the out-the-front Lumens count is.

I think I owe myself a late birthday present  :D

6x18650?!  You'd better have a good hobby charger if you own that one.  That light must be large.

Well, scratch that...  I didn't realize it had a built-in charger w/external power supply.

Very cool.  :tu:

Not only that, but no pointing it up at the sky... don't want to confuse planes into landing on top of you. ;)

Or out to sea, they may confuse you for a lighthouse.

Yep  >:(  Its too heavy for them to bring over.  Posting it is pricey too (it comes in a briefcase sized metal box).

Well I happen to know of a very understanding camp site that'll have a few decent chaps on it towards the end of may (lets say the night of the 22nd) that might just be willing to help you field test the thing.  Just make sure your folks give it a charge eh? :pok:

Just watched a video on Youtube of this torch  :o :o :o It is one big mamma!!

Comes in a really nice case but the actual torch is huuuggge  :o Mike we've found your self defence torch :D

The video is in German [I think] and has some beam shots although I would like to see some distance as well. I know it's not about 'needs' but why would a man want this torch. Work, pleasure or just god damn fun? :D

I hadn't realised just how huge it was either.  That's one big torch.

Just a bump for the SR90.  I'm planning to get one for a friend since he'll be working at night and he says he needs bright with decent runtimes.  Anybody have anything to report on this?  I know it's a beast of a light.

Well I don't own one, but it doesn't seem to be even slightly practical, more an exercise is what is possible.  Massively/impractically bright, cool, but not something I'd want to lug around at work.  After all, it does weigh 1.6Kg (3 1/2 pounds)!

I'd say it's impractical for me too.  Not really into the blinding lights.  He just got the Polarion X1 instead of the Olight.
