The first one is Spirit S, it has a plain edge and a fully serrated blade. The second is the Swiss Army Spirit X, plain edge blade and scissors. Both are BO (Black Oxide).

ic, as I never see the first one from Hong Kong,
and these two look resemble,
it make me misinterpret that is the same model but in different version from different country.

Thank you :multi:

The BO X is a beauty.

I need one.

It's around 110 euro. Not too bad, if you don't think about US prices and those tempting ebay stores. But I haven't seen a BO X for sale on ebay so far.

I guess I'll start torturing myself about it, like, now.

You are also going to get different sheaths.  The Spirit S (One serrated blade, one plain edge blade) will get the nylon holster.  The Spirit X (One plain edge blade, and scissors) you will get the MOLLE sheath.  This is because this one was actually contracted for certain regiments of the Swiss Army (and other armies.)

I don't know what it is, but I'm not a fan of BO MT's.  I love the SwissTool Spirits, I have all three models in standard stainless steel.  I like the tool lineup of the Spirit X the best.  I guess if I were in the Military and buying an MT for work I would definitely get a BO version.  But, since those days are long ago, I don't feel the attraction to BO MT's.

Not 100% as to the naming system of Victorinox, but can speculate a little. It's a bit weird when comparing to the original.

The original full size SwissTool has two spear point blades vs. original Sprit "butter knife" and scissors
SwissTool RS has a PE blade and a Rescue blade, RS standing for Rescue - if you consider the "butter knife" a rescue blade then Spit S can be called compatible
SwissTool X has the spear point PE blade and scissors - the Spirit X has this setup as well

Hope this explains it

I've also seen the "butter knife" referred to as a "barber blade".  Anyone else heard the reference?  Not that it matters, I'm just curious.
