Kick Mod question
on: March 01, 2010, 03:21:43 PM
I'm looking at my Kick thinking to myself that a folding bit holder
will fit in to where the philips is....then I don't need the flat screwdrivers,
I could add a file or something?
So will I be able to fit a bit holder in my Kick?
Has anyone done this?

Oddly I was just looking at this old thread that shows some pics of a modded Kick about a quarter way down the first page.

http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,9511.0.html

You won't be able to fit in a file though, there isn't enough room next to the pliers head when folded.  Maybe something shorter like the scissors?  Only a guess though.

A file or a saw will fit as long as you only have one long implement in each handle.

Here's another Kick mod.  ;)

That's a superb mod.  And I happily stand corrected on the file, although it seems it only just fits, right? :)

Probably for the best. I wouldn't be very useful, after all these years I still don't own a Dremel tool. I've been using the Dremel brand bits chucked in a hand drill.  :D

My new Kick arrived today (thanks to Harvey)
Now this is all Ryan's idea if you don't like it  :D
A lot of places use 'MK' Key switches which are supposed to stop unauthorized people turning various things on and off
Its quite handy to have on in your pocket on a keyring  :tu:

To be honest the new key is a bit too long so I will have to replace it with a shorter one  ::)

:pok: Now all I need to do is find and add is a bit driver and a gut hook

I also want to replace the screws with something a little easier to open  :tu:

Yep I used my 'Draper dremel'

I could drop a couple off at the meet for you  (only if you promise to use them for Good)   :D

Cool mod mate, and you're right, they're pretty indispensable if you're in maintenance or electrical work.

At one point I had loads of them spare Neil but I've no idea what happened to them.  If I can dig some up I'll bring them to the meet.
