Pancake style sheaths
on: March 04, 2010, 03:35:56 AM
I don't see these often, but they've always interested me.  I guess people call them "pancake" style sheaths, but the design is like this one;

Does anyone here have any experience with this style?

I like the concept , they are very comfortable , and ride tight to the body .

That said , I don't get along well with them , they take up way too much belt space . I had a CRK Aviator for several years , should have hung on to it . They are also quite concealable , and don't "print "thru jackets and cover garments as much as other types . From a leather worker's standpoint , they take up a lot of material , and are labor intensive - ergo expensive .

I'm with Steyerman...I don't like the amount of belt space they take up either.

I dunno, as I get older I find I have more and more belt space available...  :(
