Be very careful with it- I have seen more S&W knives fail in a catastrophic way than I have seen from all other brands combined.  I have also known folks who thought that it was a great knife for the money and it locked up nice out of the box, but a week later it started to have major issues.

The boss man is correct.  Although it may look good for £5, you get what you pay for.

When you do use it, be very careful and check the lock.  They have a nasty habit of not engaging, being loose when they do, and in the case of liner locks, going all the way to the opposite side of the blade and wedging in the far liner.

I have openly challenged Taylor Cutlery, the folks who own the rights to put the S&W name on knives, to prove me wrong when I say that ALL of their knives are monkey poo.  I have had many myself, and I have seen many more, and while I don't like to blatantly badmouth a product with some redeeming qualities, S&W knives do not fall into that category.  I'd hate to see you or someone you know get hurt when that crappy blade folds on your fingers because the lock mechanism never worked well enough to fail.

I once knew a guy ( ::)) who had a similar S&W folder but the handles broke and the guy ( ::)) threw it away...

I hope the S&W quality has improved since, so enjoy... ;)
