that "safety cutter" is not very efective and ive learned the hard way that tantos are not that practical for every day use

That's Tenacious, Persistence has a bit shorter blade Good choice for edc , been carrying a Delica these days myself.

Spydie , good piece of kit . Tantos suck , unless you stab lottsa dudes wearing antique Japanese armour . Or maybe have duels with 55 gal oil drums .

I had that SOG and that "safety cutter" was a poor design.  The assisted opening was neat and the blade was SEXY (I like tanto).

I just wish it came with a little rubber plug so you could fill in the gap where the cutter was and make it look better. IMHO

BTW you can never go wrong with a Spyderco.
