I was hoping that there is someone on the board here that is close to the new retail store. It would be nice to get some of the referbed waves. I got one from Feline Vet and wish I bought them all. So anyone close buy?

They sell refurbed ones at the retail store?  I assumed they would only sell the current models at the MSRP...since they are the Manufacturer.

I'm not 100% certain, but I believe Felinevet acquired a group these Leatherman Waves with broken or missing components. He was then able to disassemble them and use the parts to rebuild several back to spec.

Yup- Felinevet is the guy to talk to about used or refurbed multis.  They aren't factory refurbs though- they were done by Felinevet for Multitool.org members exclusively.  With all of the things he gets in from time to time it pays to keep in contact with him!

Speaking of pilgrimages and Spyderco, have you ever noticed what is stamped on the blades of some of the knives?

It says somthing like this:

Golden, Colorado, Earth.

I guess even aliens will eventually make it to the factory.  (no, I am not talking about people jumping the border either)

Instead of "Is it made in china or the US?"  it will be "Cool knife, from Mars or Earth?"

You never know.  Perhaps somthing crusing the universe will make a pilgrimage to the Spyderco plant.  They might even be impressed.

Dontcha hate those crap tools they are starting to import from Uranus?

I wish that they would introduce the lightsaber soon.  It is a great tool for kids.  That whining fat kid from the neighborhood, zip!, gone in seconds.   Tools made on uranus are not that great due to the fact that they are too brittle.  That             darn -1000 sub zero quench makes steel way too brittle.
