The fancy name plate is only on one side though. :P The opposite side is just stock Leatherman logoed. ::)

is it ment to be like that?

I don't know...? ??? JoeBW and Chako both have one, I guess we can ask them. :)

(btw, I was a little surprised that Chako didn't post a photo of his in this thread already...) :pok: :D

I could have...but I wanted to see what others would come up with.  :D

To answer the question...yes, it is meant to be like that. My copy only has the fancy plate on one side also.

Oh Boy,

Here we go again.  Mine has the 25th year plate on both sides.  S/N is 110/999.  More variations to chase.

Best - Joe

Wouldn't it be neat if they did a new Micra every year with a different flag on it? :)

Hi,

Yes, S/N does stand for "serial number".  I'm afraid that after using it at work for 41 years, it became a standard abbreviation for me.

That will work on scissors that have only just lost their edge (it works similar to a sharpening steel) but its no good on ones that have seen hard use  :-\

If you put the rod in the hole on the end of the sharpmaker - and open the Micra fully - you can do it. It's a much shallower angle and works really well :)

I had to juggle with the camera in my left hand for this - but hopefully you can get the idea!

Keeping the Micra parallel to the table top gives a just about perfect angle on the scissor blades :)
I used to come here a lot.

Weird, so kind of the opposite to the way you'd normally sharpen scissors on it?  Don't be surprised if I just hand you my Micra at the meet and ask for a demonstration :D
