broke my bo surge!
on: March 17, 2010, 02:17:55 AM
well I guess it will have to go back now. I was using the pliers to tighten a water line on a washing machine and broke the tip off the pliers. I was surprised it broke so easy. Now i hope they give me a new one so i wont have the screwed up serreted blade any more.

From everything i've heard, they'll just replace it, which seems to me like the favorable method

Snapped my plier head off one side of my Surge last year and they replaced it with
a reconditioned unit which was fine.

I broke the tip off a Blast flathead last year and I was surprised how easily it broke as well.  I have never had any Vic product do that!

Vic stuff tends to bend rather then break .

doesn't Vic use softer steel?  I think the extent of the breaking I heard from Vic is a chipped blade tip.  My Swisschamp saw bent slightly but saws are usually the ones to bend

I think I would prefer the bend to the break.  At least with a bend, there is no sudden release of force that can cause knuckle shaving or shrapnel!
