Also, if eat a banana, and drink a litre of water with a tiny pinch of salt, that can help you stop seizing up after a ride.

and if you have a cold shower as soon as u can after a ride, it,ll prevent the lactic acid built up in your legs and other muscles :)

Been taking the cold shower, simply due to the heat outside :)

 :D :D :D

it would probably be the quickest way around  ;D

most of the flooding is north of me (i live in kent) but there are a lot of people having a tough time at the moment

extreme weather is i supose, going to be a common feature in the future, this is probably just a taster, so head for the hills and grab as many sak,s and multi,s as you can carry ;) ;D

I live in southeastern Ohio, and we've been going through a drought, unless we  see some good rains soon, the upcoming brush fire season will be one for the record books. Most firefighters here carry a multi of some kind in their gear.I can make some safe bets those multis are going to be making some field repairs on equipment in this rugged terrain

Playing around with this thing makes me think twice about wengers again. Fix and finish is awesome and the functionality is ingenious. Vic is more of a traditionalist and Wenger is more tendy-with the times :)

Go Wenger  :multi:

I agree 100%  that Wenger is by far more innovative. I especially like the detachable wrench, and the fact it can be re-attached to the knife in the open position for better grip.In fact the wrench is a quality well made piece of gear.

Here is some information about it:

The Pocket Mountain Bike Tool by Wenger has a large blade; chain rivet setter, removable 5mm Allen wrench; removable tool for adjusting spokes, 10mm hexagonal key for nuts, screwdriver for slotted and Phillips head screws; Phillips head screwdriver; patented locking screwdriver, cap lifter, can opener. 3 3/8" long when closed. Red handles.

David

I love the way the wench gives you  more leverage when turning the chain tool :)
And of course some pics:

Last few.....
Sorry for the crappy pics, it's the lighting and the focus. If I take more time with the macro function and take it where I have some more light I can get some better ones....for the review of course  ;D

David, your camera is doing a much better job than mine ever could. The reallly good thing about the Wenger is that it's easily slipped into the pocket to take along on the ride.

Don't lump us all together- Newfoundland is an interesting place.  For example, this is a real town:

It's not hard to find, go to Conception Bay and hang a looie... If you hit Cox's Cove, you've gone too far, and if you see Placentia Bay you haven't gone far enough.

Of course if you find yourself in Blow Me Down or Come-By-Chance, well you might as well stay there...

Well that's just about the all time Grand Champion of place names...ain't no way I'd kiss a cod in a place with a name like that!!! Beats anything I ever encountered down this way..Pennsy has Intercourse, and Bird-in Hand, and  few miles from me in Ohio is Knockemstiff.
BTW..stole the pic ;D

In Michigan, there's a town named Climax.  There's a sign on the highway that says "Climax Next Exit..."  I keep thinking I should get off there...
