Maxpedition At Amazon.co.uk
on: March 23, 2010, 02:01:59 PM
Just wondering if any of our UK members would buy Maxpedition gear from Amazon.co.uk?

I regularly get Amazon vouchers for work incentives; if Amazon stocked Maxped stuff I would be Maxped Man  :D I have raised it with Amazon to see if they will list their products. Not sure if they pay any attention to these suggestions

I imagine if Amazon did list their gear there would be regular offers just like my £45 Skeletool CX  :tu:

If you think it's a good idea you could always tell Amazon too  :pok: :pok: :D

It is similiar to the Leathermans in the UK. There is very little variation in price throughout the various online retailers on a Leatherman. Sometimes they'll throw in a freebie but the price remains static. This appears to be the case with the Maxpedition gear  >:(

Step up Amazon; I got my Skeletool CX for £45 delivered from Amazon  :tu: There's no way I would have got that price anywhere in the UK. At the minute they have regular Skeletool's for £39-99 delivered and good prices on a few others.

If Amazon list it we could see some reasonable price drops

I am in the process of ordering a Fatboy from EDCDepot 3,175 miles away, a different country, currency and sometimes language  :P and it's still cheaper than buying locally  ::) And yes I did check the miles  :D

Not so!

Compare Heinnie's Maxpedition prices with www.fenixtorch.co.uk - needless to say, I don't buy much more than accessories from Heinnie's! I think the price difference on my Falcon II was thirty quid! The Doppelduffel bag that's next on my list is 30 quid cheaper too.

Best bit is they deliver free and just as quick as Heinnie's too.

No - neither Dan. I've been toying with the idea of a Janus for a little while, but they seem very pricey for what you actually get, so I've not pulled the trigger so far. The triad doesn't really fit with the gaps I have left in my existing setups - although if I was starting from scratch - it may well have! I'm very nearly there now with my bags and stuff (in truth I've probably got too many options), I'm almost content :D

I'm planning on getting the Doppelduffel next, to use for business trips, probably to your neck of the woods first as it happens! It looks like the perfect 2 - 4 day trip bag.
I used to come here a lot.
