i cant find my usb cable for my camera at the moment so i cant put any pictures up yet , but ill review this knife without the visuals.
i recieved this knife from heinnies on wednesday.
I wanted a new knife that was non tatical looking and legal in the uk. even though i own the spyderco terzuola i wasnt comfortable carrying this around when i wast at work.
i wanted to also try another knife apart from a sak( just from a collecters point of view).
this case knife is tiny at only 67mm long and a handle width of 9mm . but feels very solidly built.
ive always wanted a case xx knife since reading the reviews from our friends from across the pond on this forum.
when i opened the box the knife came in ,i panicked as i thought there was no knife in there, but rolled in brown parcel paper was this little knife.
Fit and finish
.
wow this knife is a real treat ,the jigged bone handle fits flush into the stainless steel ends of the knife also it has brass liners underneath the bone inlay. every small detail of this knife is perfection.
the knife came supersharp out of the box ,(this is a ss blade) im not sure how easy the blade will be to resharpen as they recomend a 15 degree angle , and im not the best at sharpening, my sharpener has a 30 and 40 degree angle set up.
the scissors are also nice they are an excact miniture of the sak scissors( the spring is beefier on the sak).
i would class this knife as a light duty edc, eg trimming finger nails, opening letters, trimming loose cotton all the sort of jobs that using a larger knife would be (although fun) a bit of overkill.
i like this knife as it is very very discreet and can just be put in a pocket with no extra bulk, i think it is very nkp friendly. also from a collectors point of view eveyone should feel the quality in the build and craftmans ship of a casexx, i m very very impressed
,
is there enough in this knife to make you want to change from (alox) sak i dont know , as the blade steels are the same and there are less functions with the case, maybe the sak would be most peoples choice (IMO), but to own a bone handle knife that screams quality and comes with the reputation that case does iam overall very happy with my new small legal edc.
