I was already an avid SAK collector when I started reading more and more into plier-based multitools. I decided I needed one, and so naturally I went for the one made by my favorite company! And from there I started to get more and more multitools... I have a ton of tools, and a ton more SAKs, but when I strap on a tool, nine times out of ten it will still be the Swisstool that I carry.

It's awesom tool, I've missed this thread so, sign me in...

First one for me was Spirit X, and then came SwissGrip, both just AWESOM tools, but this one....

I have a ST standard version, looking for X version, waiting one more to come tommorow or friday...

Nothing beats the feeling of having SwissTool with you!! It's just priceless... The hefty, bulky, heavy, capable, WSHTF tool, it just puts a smile on my face whenever i open any of it's tool's knowing it'll get the job done... Priceless!!

FedEx should be delivering my SwissTool X on Monday, I can't wait!
I'll snap some pics and post them up once it arrives.

It is going to replace my Wave and live in a pouch on my left hip, joining the Cybertool 34 which lives in a pouch on my right hip. With this combo I should be well equipped for almost anything.

It arrived this morning, here's pics:

I removed my LM Wave from my belt and put the SwissTool X in its place, I can't really tell the difference in weight or size as I walk around - I think I'll be sticking with the SwissTool X for EDC and finding somewhere else for the Wave to live (BOB or vehicle or whatever).

The blade came sharp and with less than 1 minute on the strop it was shaving arm/leg hair, within 5 minutes of stropping I was satisfied with the sharpness and called it good. Everything is in a good 'as new' condition as describe by Amazon. For $62 I am happy with my 2nd hand ST X.

Overall I like the selection of tools on the SwissTool X better than on the Wave - I lose a serrated blade (that I haven't used in 10 years of EDC) and I gain a chisel & an awl & a metric ruler & an imperial ruler. I also gain can opener, bottle opener, screwdrivers & scissors that can be accessed without having to open up the pliers; And they come out one at a time instead of in a clump; And they lock. Overall I think that this tool has improved my EDC load-out and I'm very happy.

Just an update/progress report:
After 2 weeks I still couldn't care less about the extra weight compared to my LM Wave.
I am happy to make my SwissTool X my permanent EDC multi-tool and think that going back to the Wave would be a step down.
All tools accessible from the outside and all locking as well - that beats most multi-tools on the market!

I am now convinced - the SwissTool X is the best multi-tool for my needs/wants. The more I use it the more I like it!

I just used my new(to me) SwissTool X to fix a TV stand that someone had failed to put together properly. Until yesterday I had never used a SwissTool and I am very pleased with it. my friend wanted to get rid of it so I got it for only $2 which is awesome. It probably will never make it as mu EDC simply because I usually carry a LM juice, and the size difference is too great, but this is a great tool that I am sure will serve me well whenever I need something a little bit bigger.

I understand - some of my friends are idiots too.

I'm pretty jealous though, $2 is a crazy good bargain, for that matter $20 would be a great bargain for a tool as fantastic as the SwissTool X - they sell for $90 new.

Well, I joined the SwissTool owner's club yesterday. First day out today and on my way home from work (office environment) I stopped at my fiancee's house and repaired her dog run. Bored some holes in plastic fencing with the awl, drove a couple screws with the Phillips driver, cut some jute with the scissors (CS model), and snipped some wire with the cutters.

Yahoo! This tool rocks.

My fiancee and I are both getting our houses ready to sell so I reckon the SwissTool will be seeing lots of use in the near term.
