My EDC
on: March 28, 2010, 01:41:38 PM
Following on from Nomads 'non EDC bag'

Because I have been listening to you lot I've decided I need a EDC bag
In my case it will be an Ever Day in my Car bag for the occasions that I don't have a toolbox in the back
(I think that my toolbox is my EDC)
So it will be my back up EDC, hopefully it will live in my glove box (its too fat for the glove box, its going under a seat now  :tu:)
There's a separate first aid kit in the car as well
This is what I've got so far  :)

Bag
Multi tool
Multi knife
Screwdriver set
Adjustable spanner
Super wrench
Electrical tape
Electrical tester
Torch
Cable ties
Pen
Paper
WD40
Para cord

Ear plugs
Plasters
Baby wipes
Hay fever pills

Things to add one day
Multi meter
Gaffer tape
Everything’s adjustable

Good idea (love them tools!)  :tu:
But I'm having trouble stuffing everythin in carefully packing the bag and I don't think I can get much more in it (I don't want a bigger bag, this one sadly would not fit in the glove box)

Pfft. Get a bigger bag, then a bigger car. Simples!

Looks like a well thought through setup to me mate :) Which was the lucky multitool?
I used to come here a lot.

A tool kit,
A back up tool kit,
And an emergency back up tool kit just in case

sounds good to me!

Silly question but what is bailing wire?
Thin single strand steel wire?

Thin solid mild steel wire ( at one time used in hay bails hence the name ) , its about 18 ga. or thereabouts , sometimes galvanized , sometimes with a black finish . good for putting broken bits back on car silencers ( mufflers to you US peasants ) .

Can and will save your sorry butt.
