Well I resisted for as long as I could  ::) :D plus I was able to break Allan down & wangle a trade  :D.

I can one handed open the serrated blade  >:D >:D :D :D, not fast or easily though  ::) :D. The PE blade is a tad tight too OHO.I guess that is why the nail nicks were moved too the other side of the blade  , make sneaky OHO harder

Does anyone know what this indentation/divot is on both the PE & CE blades is  , I suspect it is part of the manufacturing process

Thanks for the great trade Allan  :salute: :salute:

It's actually a safety feature. If you look inside the handles, there's a long thin piece of steel running up toward the plier pivot. Also, if you look carefully at the base of the plier pivots, there's an angled ridge around the bottom of the pivot.

When you open the pliers, that angled ridge levers that thin spring out toward the blade; the spring has a protrusion on the end that, on a regular Wave or Charge, protrudes into the one-hand-opening hole. This prevents you from opening either of the one-hand-opening blades — accidentally or on purpose — when the pliers are deployed.

So, those two holes were drilled to give those safety latches someplace to catch onto, since the blades no longer have the one-hand-opening holes.

Glad you like it mate, this model was discontinued 'cause, as you said, it can be indeed be OHO under the right
circumstances.. ;)
We might have to find you a New-New Wave with the beveled blades someday..    :D

Congrats on the great score Mat! :tu: I'll bet those nicked blades don't show up down in oz very often. :salute: Looking forward to seeing what pittance you sent off to poor Allan in trade for this jewel ;) :D

Say Allan, what is the date codes on your "2H" model? I suspect they don't make many of these, and so probably run off a year or two's worth in one batch..? Mine is 0808 - 0808 :)

Thanks to my good buddy Dennis/WH867 this rare ripper recently landed down under  8) 8).
A 2HO Tti  8) 8)

My 2HO Wave has a friend  :D :D

The blade has very nice clean elegant lines  8) 8).The nail nick is on the under side so the nick can not be used too OHO it.

The 2HO Tti with my Xti.

For comparison purposes my x2 2HO LMs flanking my Xti Charge. The 2HO blades have a great classical look to them

A big thanks to Dennis   mate  :salute: :salute:

Congrats on the TTi Mat! I do like the way the blade on that one has a "faceted" look about it. 8) Hmmmm, must have been a real bear to set up the blade-making machines to grind all those extra angles on it. Special dies, special fixtures, special grinding....its no dang wonder these 2HO tools cost so many Kroners! :D
