Q for those that own Altama boots
on: April 07, 2010, 01:42:54 AM
Where are the non USA made boots actually made?

I hate it when companies are so proud to offer American made products and label them 2-3 times as MADE IN USA!! but refuse to name where their other products are made...If it's china, say China, India, say India...jeez ::)

I have no idea what the answer to your question is, but on the topic of labelling, my personal favourite is

"Product of X"

which (at least in Australia) you are allowed to use. so you often see labels looking like;

PRODUCT OF AUSTRALIA
made in china

You know come to think of it my Fenix flashlight doesn't say it's made in China, which is fine by me since they are of very good quality. The only reference is the address listed on the box.

Nomad errr Sea Monster "Product X" is funny, never seen that. I've seen "Designed in USA, Made in China" before, and "Made in Mexico, from US materials" or something of that nature.

Look at Maxpedition stuff. "American Design. Made in Taiwan"
There is no problem that cannot be solved by the use of high explosives.

Hey! There's an altama factory here in the Philippines. They're the one handling the jungles, vengeance, and hoplite.

Those are 3 variations of the altama boot. They must be making them in the factory in the Philippines
