I just don't get how you locked the scales into the SAK?  I can see the lil tubes but don't really see how you "pined" it ?  ???  Maybe a dumb question, and BTW  :ahhh  looking SAK!

Thank you. The  :ahhh smiley really captures how I felt when the polish was done. I was like, "This is smurfin awesome! I can't smurfin believe I made this! Smurf!"

Now I've calmed down a bit.

The pins are flared on the ends and the holes in the scales are countersunk. I made 2 sets of tapered mandrels with different point angles so I could flare the tube ends out, then down, and they got sanded flush when I did the polishing. Since titanium is so eager to work harden they are locked in there good. The back tool pins are also peened into countersunk holes and sanded flush. It's a ridiculously complicated way to put a SAK together but it works and looks good.

Carry it. What's the use of an SAK if it's not used. Setting there all lonely. Tools are meant to be used not saved or worshipped. Pull out your shelf queens and get them dirty. You'll feel better.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

Noooooo! :ahhh

I have to keep this one nice. I made with the intention of selling it to fund the cutting of many more titanium SAK parts on a waterjet. I just have to finish the bail and shield and figure out a reasonable price for it.

Man a Bail will just put this SAK really over the top.... the buyer got a good deal I think.

Can't wait to see the next project.  ;) :D
