Can you buy a new Plier head for an MP 600?

I think I saw it mentioned somewhere (can't find it now though), that you can replace the plier heads on the MP 600s?  True?  How hard is it and where do you get new ones?  Thanks!

I am fairly sure the only way to get new plier heads for a MP600 is to sub in one from the Gerber 650/Evolution range. The Gerber MT that had the interchangeable plier head system. You can pick up 650 plier heads on ebay but they are tough to get. I do not think Gerber sells the plier heads separately , besides the 650 which is retired & more than likely not stocked by Gerber.
I reckon your best bet would be a 2nd hand donor MP600 or send it to be fixed under warranty

But unfortunately a spare 650 plier head won't work in a 600 chassis, as the little spring clip posts that hold it in have been ground off. :(

And I don't believe they sell spare 600 pliers. :(

Ahh , so Bob you can modify a standard MP600 plier too fit the 650 by grinding the posts .

I think FC might be thinking of the MP650 Evolution model, which came with interchangeable heads.
