I think this belongs in the Edged Forum ::) :D

I've been tempted to pick one up for my boy, but they seem a bit of a waste of money imo :-\

:twak:  Missing the point  ::)  More interesting than having to sit there making wooden boats and trains.  Though the wooden land yacht we made out of dowel was fun :D

Best bit is, it wouldn't need painting :)

"Can I paint the train/boat/plane please?" translates around here into I will mess it up and you can finish it whilst I watch ::)

I had a Marmite first today (and it wasn't even my idea), Marmite on a baked potato.  As you're mixing in the knob of butter just add a bit of Marmite at the same time, then the standard grated cheddar and beans.  Yummy.

I've been wanting to build one of these...WW2 era Japanese. I'm not sure if it was a manufactured product or a clever kluge put together by a Japanese soldier.

For those who might not remember, WhichDawg makes some very special machines..... :)

I got to use my Farmer (saw) and OHT past couple of days on a new project.

we are making CNC Routers, the whole system, machine, electronics, software
and more (been at this for a couple of years now, my job/business) and we
got it to make 3D models, like this dinosaur (I'm sure you've seen them)

I used the SAKs to cut the pieces out  ;)
(Image removed from quote.)
it's pretty cool watching it get cut out of a sheet of wood! it's over 2 feet high!
and my picture taking is getting better lol

here's our machine that cut it out (we made it all)
(Image removed from quote.)
ohh the fun I'm gonna have! now to make wooden sak scales! :ahhh

Do you reckon you could do a wooden SAK or pliers MT?  That'd be fun :tu:   I have two small beta testers who could assist :D

I don't see why not! looks pretty simple for the machine. what I planned on doing was SAK wood scales first, with "carvings" but that is something interesting and might be fun ;)

Any chance you'd be able to do toothpick and tweezers slots on these (when they happen)? :)

yes! I was thinking that and would be quite easy to do, simple run on the backside (after a flip) I promise to show and keep you informed!
