I'd love to have one of those machines to play around with :D

they are fun/interesting, we're still "perfecting" them and learning the software. one guy got a machine to just make oval "holes" in boards for gun stocks! (he makes cabinets)

he says it will save him tons of time/which means making money (instead of doing it by hand). and I'm finding out lots of people don't know how to use computers but want a CNC (Computer Numerical Control)! and don't understand software is not cheap and you need it!  :ahhh :D

do they do 3D like that one in the pic? I'm sure some very interesting wooden scales could be made... plus you can't beat computer precision for multiple copies!

yes! with the proper software, Vectric Vcarve makes 3D software that will do it and with the "Aspire" package you can take a picture and work out the dimensions you want and have that in 3D, but that cost like 2K! :ahhh (we want to get our hands on that!)

Doesn't matter much to me how much it is, I have no place to put a proper workshop let alone buy any fancy equipment :(

The more I look at the pics of the guitar body I built in High school, the more I miss having access to a workshop... so many ideas and things I'd like to do...
